About Us

Founder and brainchild of Wellbeing Instruments, Tomas Fitzgerald, has spent his life surrounded by music, teaching children and helping his brother and classroom students with special needs.  Wellbeing Instruments exists to provide the best possible outdoor musical instruments that support the development of children through collaborative play via a holistic therapeutic environment that positively impacts physical, social and emotional dimensions of a child’s wellbeing.

Evidence Based Approach

Listening to or playing calming music can reduce stress, anxiety, and promote relaxation. Music has therapeutic effects that help children manage emotions and cope with stressful situations.

When investigating the effects of music on stress in humans, researchers found that cortisol levels reduced significantly faster when calming music was used as an intervention. (Thoma et al., 2013).

At Wellbeing Instruments, we create and design our instruments in collaboration with Occupational therapists, Music Therapists and Speech Pathologist to ensure that our products best align with the needs of your students.

All instruments are meticulously hand crafted.  Working with local audio engineers, each resonating tube is carefully tuned in temperature controlled environments. All parts are locally sourced and fabrication is carried out in Melbourne, Australia. We take pride in supporting and showcasing Australian manufacturing.
