Diamond Creek Primary School

We had the amazing opportunity to speak with principal Jacqui Abrahams, at Diamond Creek PS. We also had some of her students show us how they use their Explorer outdoor musical instrument! Here’s a short except of Jacqui explaining how the school benefits from integrating the instrument with their tier 1 and tier 2 behaviour support strategies.

I would absolutely recommend Wellbeing Instruments to any school. Particularly those of us implementing the three tiered approach.”

THE EXPLORER

Consisting of 11 anodised aluminium resonating tubes, suspended with a stainless-steel frame. Our elegant and sturdy Explorer is the perfect addition to your space. Ideal for integrating into your behaviour support programs and assisting in fostering a happy, healthy environment in the playground. The instruments come with 38 fun and educational activities, all linked to the Victorian curriculum.

THE COMPOSER

Consisting of 15 perfectly tuned aluminium tubes, anodised to withstand the elements. Easily integrates into your play spaces emanating a sense of calm.

“The wellbeing instruments are regularly used with a student I support when they are feeling the need to calm down or regulate during our brain breaks. They have been helpful to assist in the student’s transitions between learning spaces and specialist lessons.”

IMAGINE!

When children are given space to express themselves through sound and play, they enter a world of creativity that helps them make sense of their emotions, settle their nervous systems, and engage more deeply with the world around them.

Our outdoor musical instruments aren’t just about making music they’re about creating moments of calm, curiosity, and exploration. For some students, this is a chance to regulate before stepping into the classroom. For others, it’s a creative spark that unlocks confidence and joy.

By allowing children to imagine freely and engage with sound in a sensory-rich way, we help prepare them not just for the lesson ahead but for a deeper, more connected way of learning.
